Raising a Child with Conduct Disorder? You Don't Have to Face This Alone
The Weight You Carry
Another day, another battle. The defiance, the outbursts, the endless worry… Conduct Disorder can leave you feeling lost at sea, constantly treading water just to stay afloat.
Many parents feel:
- Overwhelmed: By the constant emotional and physical demands of managing your child's behaviour. The sleepless nights, the strained relationships, the toll it takes on your own well-being.
- Isolated: No one truly understands the unique challenges you face. Friends and family offer well-meaning advice, but they can't grasp the intensity of your daily struggles.
- Guilty: Wondering if you're somehow to blame if you could have done something differently to prevent this. The weight of guilt can be crushing.
- Hopeless: Doubting whether things will ever improve or your child will ever find peace and happiness.

What Sets Conduct Disorder Support Apart?
CDS is more than just another resource website. We’re here to bridge the gap between the limited resources available and the immense needs of parents like you. Our mission is to empower you with the knowledge, support, and tools you need to navigate this challenging journey with confidence and hope. Here’s what makes us unique:
- Parent-Founded, Parent-Led: Founded by a parent who has navigated the same challenges, we understand the emotional toll, the sleepless nights, and the constant worry that comes with raising a child with CD.
- An Organised and Private Community: Unlike the often overwhelming and public nature of Facebook groups, our platform is designed for focused discussions & easy navigation. Plus, you can choose the level of anonymity you're comfortable with. No personal information is publicly available, ensuring your privacy and allowing you to connect with others authentically.
- You Are Our Priority: While most resources focus solely on the child, we understand that your well-being is just as important. We're here to support YOU, providing tools and resources to help you prioritise your own mental and emotional health.
- Curated Guidance: Our library is filled with articles and insights not just from experts, but also from parents like you. We combine professional knowledge with lived experience to offer the most comprehensive and relevant support possible.
- Practical Solutions for Real-Life Challenges: We don't just offer sympathy; we provide actionable, evidence-based strategies to help you reduce conflict, set boundaries, and navigate the complexities of parenting a child with CD.
- Affordability Meets Sustainability: We understand the financial strain that raising a child with Conduct Disorder can bring. We've worked hard to strike a balance, offering a membership that's significantly more affordable than similar platforms while ensuring the long-term sustainability of this vital resource.
I understand your struggle because I've walked the same path.
I know firsthand the heartache, frustration, and loneliness that come with raising a child with Conduct Disorder. The endless worry, the sleepless nights, the desperate search for answers – I’ve been there.
That’s why I created Conduct Disorder Support (CDS).
It’s more than a website; it’s a lifeline. It’s the community I wish I had when my child was diagnosed. A place where you’re understood, supported, and empowered with practical tools and expert advice.
I’m not a psychologist or psychiatrist, but I am a parent who’s walked this path. I’ve scoured for resources, learned through trial and error, and found what can help, and how to create acceptance over what is out of our control.
I’m here to share those hard-won lessons with you. Together, with the support of our community, we can navigate this challenging journey and create a brighter future for your family.
Full Transparency: This isn’t a picture of me and “Sarah Steadfast” is a pen name to ensure my family’s privacy. Considering the sensitive nature of some topics discussed on this site and that they often involve minors, we encourage using pseudonyms to protect everyone’s privacy. This allows us to cultivate a safe and supportive environment where members feel comfortable sharing openly and get the support they need.
